Laurie Raiber – Founder of Career Advisory Services
Laurie Raiber, president and founder of CAS, Inc., is a human resources professional with over twenty five years experience providing executive recruitment and organizational training services to an impressive range of corporate clients. CAS Inc., whose early client list included Dow Jones, Bloomberg plc, Reuters, British Telecom, MCI, Associated Press, Digital Equipment and Oracle Corporation. For the last seven years her firm has been active in the emerging area of Internet media. A partial list of recent clients would include Gemstar TV Guide Interactive, USA Networks, United Media (comics.com), AP Digital, Me.net, CameraPlanet.com, EVEO.com, i-Village, Earthweb, OneWorld.com, Netcast and a growing roster of the leaders in the converging industries of e-commerce, direct-response and media content and technology.
Prior to opening the California offices of CAS, Laurie became a leader in the recruitment of some of the freshest new talent in the arena of location based entertainment. A partial client list would include Disney (on-line and Theatrical), Radio City Music Hall, Hard Rock Café, and Caeser's Palace, to name just a few.
Ms. Raiber has taught and developed courses for New York University's Center for Career and Life Planning and has run a program at The New School for Social Research on Careers in Internet Media. She has run special in- house training programs for Citibank, Chemical Bank and Procter and Gamble.
Ms. Raiber holds an M.A. Degree from New York University Graduate School of Business Administration and Education, and a B.F.A. from the Tisch School of the Arts in Film and Television. She received postgraduate career counseling training at the Federal Employment and Guidance Services Agency in New York. She is a Certified Associate with Lee Hecht Harrison and services on their Entertainment Advisory Board in Los Angeles.
